How to Complete Your Booksprout ARC Review

Okay, so you've downloaded an ARC from one of your favorite authors via Booksprout and are now stuck, wondering how you get our system to recognize the fact that you've actually completed your reviews!

In order for that to happen, there's a few things you'll need to do.

  1. Write a review on Booksprout
  2. Write a review on all websites that are required by the author
  3. Prove to Booksprout that you've done all required reviews.

Go to the ARC's page on Booksprout

To write a review on Booksprout, you'll need to head back to the ARC on our website. Make sure you're logged in. If you're not sure if you are or not, head to our login page. If you're asked to login, please do.

You can get the link to the ARC either in an email we've sent you or by viewing your promised ARCs on our website and clicking on the cover of the book you want to review.

Write your review on Booksprout

To get to our review section, you'll need to click on the third circle near the top.

Once there, you should see a form where you can either write your review or cancel your promise to do so. Fill out that form with your review and click "Save" at the bottom.

Write your review on external websites

Once your review is saved on Booksprout, you'll need to copy it over to all of the external websites that the author requires.

Click on the fourth circle near the top to get to the screen where you can do this.

Scroll down and you should see a form you'll need to fill out to prove that you've left your review on all required websites. Any website that's marked with a red "Required" marking means the author is requiring you to review on that website in order for your ARC to be considered complete.

Note: In the above screenshot, Amazon is marked as required and Goodreads is optional.

Prove you've left your reviews

Booksprout helps authors spend less time monitoring their ARC team and more time writing. To help with this, we ask that every reviewer provide a link to their review on all required external websites. This way, the author can quickly and easily check if you've completed the ARC.

If you need help proving to Booksprout that you've actually done your reviews , please refer to the following guides that will walk you through step by step.

My review says it's due today but the author has not yet provided Booksprout with a link to their book, it's already published. I've posted my review on Amazon, GR, Bookbub and my blog but it's showing as not complete because the author hasn't set it up. BUT the due date is still today. How to I get this showing and complete on my file?

What happens when amazon won’t approve your review. I’ve tried several times, reworded my review and everything but they won’t approve it. And yes it follows the guidelines for their review policy. So I now cant complete the an ARC.

A few times, the author has not provided links to Amazon or any other sites.  How do I go forward as it says that I cannot finish step 3?  It is frustrating as it looks as if I haven't finished my part of the review.  I normally will come back and forth but this is due tomorrow and there is no link still.

I post on Amazon, Goodreads, Bookbub all on the same day when the author sets it up that way. Some don't. Amazon holds up my posts. Doesn't matter if I have purchased the book. The posts are held up. Now if authors would not require Amazon and let us do the three reviews without having to furnish the Amazon link (one author I read does this) then the process is verified or completed when due and is on time. I usually go back and add it when it clears.

I finished my ARC and reviewed it.  It only said for Amazon and I cannot write reviews on that site due to not meeting their requirements like having the purchase of 50$ in the past 12 months. So how can I complete this ARC if I cannot write on Amazon? if any possibility please inform me to my mail I would definitely review. Thank you.

I finished my ARC and reviewed it.  It only said for Amazon and I cannot write reviews on that site due to not meeting their requirements.  I have already put the review on Bookbub.  I could not do Goodreads as of yet.

I need to know what sites to review on before I take the ARC.  Unless I missed it somehow, I don't think I did though.  So how can I complete this ARC if I cannot write on Amazon?

The author hasn't provided a link to Goodreads so how can I prove that I wrote a review? I received this book a month ago and there still isn't any link. Also, the book is already released.

I have reviewed on the sites other than Amazon because for some reason the guidelines are interfering. So frustrating can’t go on to read anymore because of this hold up.
