How to Complete Your Booksprout ARC Review

Okay, so you've downloaded an ARC from one of your favorite authors via Booksprout and are now stuck, wondering how you get our system to recognize the fact that you've actually completed your reviews!

In order for that to happen, there's a few things you'll need to do.

  1. Write a review on Booksprout
  2. Write a review on all websites that are required by the author
  3. Prove to Booksprout that you've done all required reviews.

Go to the ARC's page on Booksprout

To write a review on Booksprout, you'll need to head back to the ARC on our website. Make sure you're logged in. If you're not sure if you are or not, head to our login page. If you're asked to login, please do.

You can get the link to the ARC either in an email we've sent you or by viewing your promised ARCs on our website and clicking on the cover of the book you want to review.

Write your review on Booksprout

To get to our review section, you'll need to click on the third circle near the top.

Once there, you should see a form where you can either write your review or cancel your promise to do so. Fill out that form with your review and click "Save" at the bottom.

Write your review on external websites

Once your review is saved on Booksprout, you'll need to copy it over to all of the external websites that the author requires.

Click on the fourth circle near the top to get to the screen where you can do this.

Scroll down and you should see a form you'll need to fill out to prove that you've left your review on all required websites. Any website that's marked with a red "Required" marking means the author is requiring you to review on that website in order for your ARC to be considered complete.

Note: In the above screenshot, Amazon is marked as required and Goodreads is optional.

Prove you've left your reviews

Booksprout helps authors spend less time monitoring their ARC team and more time writing. To help with this, we ask that every reviewer provide a link to their review on all required external websites. This way, the author can quickly and easily check if you've completed the ARC.

If you need help proving to Booksprout that you've actually done your reviews , please refer to the following guides that will walk you through step by step.

I was having trouble figuring out how to finish the final step as well. I just finished mine and took some looking around to figure out but all you need to do after you post your review to Amazon is go find your individual review and then copy the url and come back here and paste it in the line that says link your review. If you need more help look in the how to review on Amazon in here. Hope this helps.

I am still having trouble with doing part 4 of the review, help.

This is my first ARC with Booksprout.  I've left my reviews for ALL the reviewing options, not just the required ones, because I keep getting an email saying that I haven't fulfilled my required commitment.   I have.  I did the required ones right away.  But then I did more even, as I did ALL of the optional reviews as well. What am I doing wrong?

Tried reviewing Night Before New Years Eve and Amazon will not post my review. Tried everything to get them to bur it won't post.

I have submitted several reviews on Amazon and Booksprout, but this evening, despite posting the link to my review on Amazon, I'm still getting the 'steps 3 of 4' indication where I usually have the "complete" message. There are no other review sites required per your help page, so not sure what's going on. Help!!

I got an email saying my Booksprout review needs to be completed, but when I login to my account, the book does not show up on my dashboard.  So, I'd love to post my review here, but can't find a way to do so.  I've emailed the author to let her know I posted my review on Amazon, but cannot do so here.

Requiring Amazon reviews sucks. I cant finish any arcs because amazon wont let me leave any reviews, since I dont buy anything from amazon.

I have completed the reviews and linked them to your site. But it still says I haven’t completed the process. I’ve done this before and it worked fine.  The only thing I can think of is that Amazon took FOREVER to post my review.

This is still a problem. My links are listed, but i still get no reviews posted. For something that is supposed to easy, this sure is complicated!!

I’ve tried multiple times to try and leave my review on the other sites and the book isn’t showing up. This is too frustrating to be worth all of the trouble. I’ll just continue to buy my books. 🤦🏽‍♀️
