How to review on Amazon

If you're new to reviewing on Amazon, follow these steps to leave your review on their website and prove to Booksprout that you've completed your review.

In some cases, Amazon may prevent you from leaving a review. If that's the case, please refer to this guide on what to do when Amazon won't accept your review.

NOTE: These instructions will only work with the Amazon website. You will be unable to follow them when using the Amazon app, so make sure you're in a web browser and not the app.

Step 1

Click on the "Leave Your Review" button just under the Amazon heading. It should take you directly to the book's review page where you can leave your review.

Step 2

On Amazon's website, you should see the book you need to review at the top. Click on one of the stars to leave your rating. After rating the book, Amazon will take you through some more steps to write and complete your review.

Step 3

Once your review is completed and saved, your review should look something like this. Click on the title of your review to get taken to your review's dedicated page on Amazon.

Step 4

Once you're on a page that shows only your review, we'll need the url to it. You can usually see this at the top of your browser. Copy that URL and move onto the next step.

Step 5

Once you have the URL to your review on Amazon, head back to the ARC on Booksprout and paste it into the field provided

Step 6

Scroll down to the bottom and click the "save" button.

Amazon does not let me review, says I am not eligible because I've not spent the minimum. How do I get my review up?

I had all of my reviews removed by Amazon on Sunday 090620. I’m trying to get them to reverse this decision.

Amazon won't let me review. They say, I don't spend enough. I am surprised, that when I filled in your review form, they accepted it. Now, I have to want a few days until they review it, before it will show up. Fingers crossed. They used to let me review on the US, Canadian and UK sites. But they have this new policy. I do spend a lot on their site, but I don't have a credit card and don't want one. I buy gift cards and buy stuff with them. They only consider purchases bought with your personal credit card.

I am So frustrated!!! I have 3 arcs that have been incomplete since October of 2018 because Amazon pulled my reviews. I have reached out to the authors as well as to this site since October of 2018. I used this sites' contact the author and my personal email to reach out to them to complete my arcs. The authors all said it is fine . I explained that per Booksprout only they could complete the arc. The authors referred me to you. I finally got my privileges back but not my reviews. Miss Mary made me aware the site can not complete arc reviews no matter the circumstance. So I saw the option to cancel. Ms. Mary said I couldn't cancel because I had done all the reviews for Amazon and Goodreads and Bookbub as well as Booksprout . But without the Amazon link they would remain so. I contacted Kindle Support and Community review help. I was told I could not review again as that violates the standards and would lose my privileges again. It took my over a year to get them back. I am not even attempting it. I had the privileges to review when I took the arcs and reviewed them on Amazon. I did not have any idea Amazon yanked my privileges till I went to review a different book. I have done my due diligence. How do I get this resolved so it is not held against me here? Why is there not a fix for this? Why is there not an option to pick banned from Amazon? It can not be that difficult to build the line into the program. The authors would already know on their master list who is banned and who is not. We all answer or notify the authors when we are reviewing or if we get banned. I am trying to do what is right for this site but feel like I am punished for something totally out of my control. I can't make Amazon give me a working link for them. I can't make very busy authors do something they don't know how to or just say it is ok just leave it. Yet your own rules say if you have too many incomplete or cancellations the site will not let you take an arc. But no numbers are provided for how many is too many? Is it cumulative? Do the incomplete arcs ever fall off? I am worried if a new author I was trying to be able to get an arc for so my profile they would hesitate because of these incomplete arcs from 2018. Is there no resolution to this?

I cannot review on Amazon, but I cannot sign off the arc as read and reviewed, so now it's just sat there. I have reviewed on Goodreads and Bookbub. The author is aware. Why is there not an option to indicate this on you form? This is seriously annoying. I do not wish to keep getting reminders that my review is still outstanding or get banned.

I submitted my review of Ella and the Alien Prince on 8/11 from my phone and Amazon says it's being reviewed.  Not seeing it, I tried again 8/14 from my computer so I could paste URL.  Re-submitted review and again Amazon says it's being reviewed.

I submitted my review but it's being reviewed.  I hope I can still be an arc reader .
