FAQ: What should I do after I create an ARC?
After you create an ARC, there's a few good things you can do.
In order to get the most out of Booksprout, you'll want to make sure you share the link to your ARC with anyone who might be interested in reviewing your book. This will help you collect more reviewers and start building your ARC team!
First, head to your author ARC listings page. Once there, you'll see all your ARCs, each with share buttons and a shareable link.
Copy the shareable link or click on the facebook/twitter/email icons to start sharing it!
I recommend sharing it with your newsletter, social media following, and any friends who like your type of book. Existing fans are a great place to start when building your team of superfans!
Yup, I know it's hard. But once you create an ARC it's a lot like waiting for sales to roll in. Reviewers need time to discover your book on Booksprout, so once you create your ARC it's best to get back to writing and check back in the evening!
As you start getting downloads, you'll see the number of copies claimed increasing.
Once you start getting reviews (it can take some time!), you'll start seeing those show up too!
Request ARC Reviews
Do NOT do this immediately. Requesting the ARC reviews will alert anyone who's participated that it's time to leave their review and it will prevent any further participants from joining.
It's best to request the ARC reviews as close as possible to the due date that you set for the ARC. This is usually the day your book goes live.
