Message a Reviewer

If you ever have an issue with a reviewer and need to get in touch with them, you can do it via our messaging platform. All messages have to relate to a review campaign, so you can't message a reviewer unless they are participating in one of your review campaigns.

Note that reviewers can reach out to you before they participate in a review campaign if they have any questions about it (like if they want to know if it's a right fit for them).

Send a Message via a Review Campaign

  1. Navigate to the Review Campaigns page.
  2. Find the appropriate Review Campaign.
  3. Click on the "Manage" button next to the appropriate Review Campaign.
  4. Under the "Reviews & Feedback" or "Participants" tab, scroll, search or use filters to find the appropriate review/participant.
  5. Click on the green arrow next to their name/review.
  6. Click on "Send Message" in the drop-down menu.
  7. Type your message.
  8. Make sure you click the "Send" button when your message is ready.

Send a Message via the Reviews & Feedback page

  1. Navigate to the Reviews & Feedback page.
  2. Scroll, search or use filters to find the appropriate review.
  3. Click on the green arrow next to their review.
  4. Click on "Send Message" in the drop-down menu.
  5. Type your message.
  6. Make sure you click the "Send" button when your message is ready.

Reply to a Reviewer Message

  1. Click on the message icon in the top right corner of the website to navigate to the Messages page.
  2. Find the message you want to reply to.
  3. Click on the message.
  4. Type your response.
  5. Make sure you click the "Send" button when your message is ready.

If you are getting a message from a reviewer that you don't want to hear from or if they are spamming you, we recommend you block them and report them if needed. You can follow this tutorial to block a reviewer from messaging you.


Request Support from Booksprout

If one of your readers is having issues with our website or need help figuring out how to leave their reviews, you can always send them to us. We'll be happy to step in and provide support for the readers. If you are happy replying to them, you are free to do it and help them, but if it's not something you have time for, know that you can rely on our support team.

  1. Click on the message icon in the top right corner of the website to navigate to the Messages page.
  2. Find the message you need help with.
  3. Click on the message.
  4. Above the "Send" button, click the "Request Support" link.
  5. Click "Request Help" to confirm.

That will send an email to our support staff, who will then reply (via email) to your reader so we can help them.
