Create Review Campaign

There are two types of review campaigns you can run in Booksprout:

Read the tutorials below to learn how to create both! If you need more details, we recommend watching the videos and following along.

Create an eBook Review Campaign

To create a Review Campaign, visit your Review Campaigns page

  1. Click on the green "Create New" button below "My Review Campaigns".
  2. Select the book you want to run a Review Campaign for.
  3. Add any special information you'd like reviewers to read before claiming a review copy.
  4. Make sure "eBook" is selected.
  5. Click on "Step 2" to navigate to the next page.
  6. Select the team that will host the Review Campaign. If the appropriate team isn't showing, you can create it by following our tutorial on how to create a team.
  7. Click on "Step 3" to navigate to the next page.
  8. Decide if you would like to make your review campaign public to the Booksprout community or private.
  9. If you decide to run a private review campaign, you can set who will have access to it between those who have the links or only those who are on your review team.
  10. If you are on the Bestselling or Publisher plan and running a public review campaign, you can decide if you want to limit your review campaign to our Top Vetted Reviewers.
  11. Decide if you want to prevent reviewers who have outstanding due reviews for other books by the same team from participating in this review campaign.
  12. Select how many review copies you would like to distribute. If you are on the Bestselling or Publisher plan, you have access to unlimited copies.
  13. If your book is part of a series, select if you want us to warn reviewers that they need to have read the other books to review this one.
  14. Click on "Step 4" to navigate to the next page.
  15. Select the sites where your book is going to be available.
  16. Click the small "Next" button below the store links.
  17. Select how many external sites you'd like the reader to leave a review on. We recommend limiting it to 1 or 2 if you are running a public review campaign. If you set it to 0, no reviews will be required from the reader.
  18. Click the small "Next" button below the number field.
  19. Select if you would like to require specific stores. (Optional)
  20. Click on "Step 5" to navigate to the next page.
  21. If you are on the Bestselling or Publisher plan, select if you would like to run an endless review campaign. (That means that your review campaign won't have an end date, instead, it will be able to run for as long as you want)
  22. If you've selected the Endless Review Campaign, select the start date and how many days you would like to give reviewers to read and review your book.
  23. If you've selected a regular Review Campaign, select the start and end date of your review campaign. Note that based on your plan, you will have more/less availability in your calendar. If the calendar days you want are blocked, we recommend upgrading your plan to have more availability or changing your dates.
  24. Click "Done" to launch (if the start date is today) or schedule (if the start date is in the future) your review campaign.
