Complete your Booksprout Reviews
When you're done reading a book, it's time to complete your review on Booksprout.
If you've realized a book isn't for you, you can withdraw your review promise instead of leaving a review. In that case, we recommend adding some feedback for the author so they know why that book wasn't for you.
In this tutorial:
Write your Booksprout Review
- Navigate to the My Review Copies page.
- Find the book you are ready to review under the "Active" or "Due" tab.
- Under the book information, click "Start Review" or click on the book card and click on the "Review" button below the information.
- Add your star rating for the book.
- Add your review title.
- Add your review.
- Modify the disclaimer if you want (optional).
- Add some private feedback if you want (optional).
- Check the "Follow..." box if you would like to follow that author and get notified of their next review copies.
- Click "Done" to save your review.
Confirm you have written the required and optional reviews
In most cases, writing a review on Booksprout only won't be enough. Most authors require that you leave a review on at least one store. To view your requirements and complete them, follow the tutorial below.
- Navigate to the My Review Copies page.
- Click on the "Due" tab.
- Find the book you are ready to leave reviews for.
- Under the book information, click on "Continue Review" or click on the book card and click on the "Review" button below the information.
- You will see a list of required and optional stores for that book. Click on a store name to leave your review.
- Copy your review.
- Click the store button to open the book.
- Leave your review on that store.
- If required, copy the URL for your review and paste it on Booksprout.
- Click "Done" to save your information.
